Goodbye 2009 !! December 29, 2009

While there have definitely been some great memories of 2009, I will be glad to see what the promise of 2010 brings.
- Upside
- GAP/C & O towpath trip (Pittsburgh to D.C.) with my wife & brother
- Continued support from friends, family, teammates.
- A new bicycle (replaced the crashed carbon fiber Specialized)
- A new bicycle toy – Powertap – has allowed me to get back into training
- TNUA rides in Rochester
- Renovations to the house – Ahhhhhhh….the Hot Tub!
2. Downside
- Health issues that prevented me from doing any meaningful training or racing this year
- Crash #1 – March, Letchworth State park – very lucky that I only broke the tip of one finger
- Crash #2 – November, TNUA ride – a trusted the person in front of me…big mistake! The major damage was a bruised body and a broken helmet
All-in-all more positives than negatives!
Come on 2010!

After taking some time off from keeping the blog up-to-date, I have decided to get back into blogging. No real big reason, just that it might help me to staty focused on my 2010 goals

I must be losing what little mind that I have left, because I thought that I had already posted this, but here it is:
We are home! The incredible journey is over. I have posted a summary of what i have learned along the way. Soon I will post some welcome home pictures to show what greeted us.
You were all great to keep reading this.
Now, we just have to get re-adjusted and begin planning the next great adventure.

No internet last night, so I couldn’t post.
Today’s ride was long, with more hills than we are used to. As a result we are in later than usual.
