About
Got seriously into bicycling about three years ago (2003). My wife & I have ridden Vermont extensively & thought we’d like another challenge. So, come June 3rd we will be in San Francisco heading east. We are riding with a tour company (America by Bicycle – check their link).
Can’t wait for this great adventure!.

I am so Jealous. I hope you have a great time on your ride. I will definately be following your progress.
My uncle, brother and me like to tour on our bicycles. We can only ride for a week or so at a time, but over a four year period (32 days riding total) we cycled from Canada to Mexico. Every year we would drive to where we left off, load our gear on our bikes and take off. We finally hit the Mexican border in October 2006.
For this year, we are starting in Anacortes, WA and we are heading east. We can’t do it all at once, so we are going to be doing about a week every year. It will take a few years but we intend to finish in Maine.
Have a great trip…
Heh Phil!
At some point, I think the wife & I will be doing what you are doing. I’ll be interested in hearing more about what routes you took, gear, etc. For now, the only thing we are focused on is getting enough butt time so we don’t suffer too much the first week. We are pretty confident we can ride, just a matter of saddle time. Right now, as you may know, the north east is getting hit with a spring winter storm. We currently have 6 inches of snow on the ground and more on the way. Hopefully, by the weekend we will be back outside.
Without looking at your blog, I hope you are going to post your experiences!
Later!
Go Aunt Jane & Uncle Gene!!! I’m rooting for you guys and will be reading your blog the whole trip!!!
Love you!!!
Wendy
Hope you trip is going well!
